We Need You Mr. Vice President!
Last night I was fortunate enough to watch the former VP Al Gore on Larry King Live. I was terrified that he was going to say, absolutely not I am not running for President! However, VP Gore didn't say that; instead, he said he was not thinking about running, and had no plans to run. That is very good news for people like me who believe that VP Gore is exactly what this country needs! The former VP is, not only the most qualified Democrat to be President, but he is the most qualified person in the United States to lead us onto a new path. VP Gore is a former congressperson, US senator, Vice President, and about to win the Noble Peace Prize! What else do we need? If an unsuccessful businessperson, and governor of a state, Texas, who has a weak governor system can be President than I am certain Al Gore is qualified! Only Al Gore has the credentials that can immediately open doors to most world capitals, and leaders to begin the process of healing that our world needs. Al Gore can only help the cause of global warming by being President. The world has been waiting for the US to lead, not only on this issue but on many others. The US needs to begin to respect other nations. Not dictate to them! Not only that, but when Bill Clinton and Al Gore were in the White House from 1993-2001, we had a competent government and a surplus! Remember everyone gas was a lot cheaper in 2001 than it is now! Inflation was tame and working people were doing better! I know I had more expendable income than I do now! The US needs to have true leadership, and that leadership should start with a President Gore Administration. Run AL run!

Amazing!
I am in complete joy, as well as shock, that the Cubs have come back beautifully since the series with the Mets! Everything is going well now. They are coming back late in the game to score and the pitching from the bullpen is holding up well. The Cubs are one win away from a sweep of the Sox, and every Cub fan is anxious! Okay game time is 1pm today. Lets go Cubbies!
On another note, kudos to Former President Jimmy Cater for having the courage to come out yesterday, in an interview with an Arkansas newspaper, calling President Bush's Administration the WORST in US History! He wasn't that good of a president but he can sure call them right now!

Cubs
I just finished watching the Cubs give up a four run lead in the ninth inning against the NY Mets to lose! Something better happen soon, or, I am here to tell you, the CUBS will be out of it! What is going on? I mean the team did well with starter Angel Guzman and then Wuertz, and of all people, Will Ohman to get to the ninth inning. With 2 two run homers by Angel Pagan, and Aramis Ramirez, why can't they win? That bullpen is completely awful! Lou Pinella needs to get help and get it quick! Also for all the Matt Murton fans out there, His arm is UNSATISFACTORY! Time to find someone else for right field! I want everyone to forgive me for ranting but this game today was completely embarrassing! The Cubs will go NOWHERE with the team they have now! NOWHERE! I wish i could get my money back! Ciao!

Those Cubs
What is going on with the Chicago Cubs? Last week it looked as though they were making headway, and now it seems everything is falling apart again. They really fought back yesterday in Philadelphia however, once again, the bullpin gave it up! Man could we get some positive consistency out of that part of our team that was suppose to be the envy of every other team? I mean if Milwaukee keeps winning then by the All-Star break they will have clinched the NL Central! Okay Okay, I know many of you think I am chicken little but the Cubs really do need to start turning things around! BTW Phillie fans I love Shaun Victorino! YUMMY! Want to trade Matt Murton for him? I would in a second! Okay have to watch the Cubs later today, and hopefully we won't get swept! Now we head into Metland next to noisy LaGarbage airport in NYC. We need to start winning! Lets Go Cubbies, lets GO!

Tony Blair
The Prime Minister of Great Britain announced yesterday that he will step down shortly and hand power over to Gordon Brown, the current Chancellor of the Exchequer which is similar to our nation's Secretary of the Treasury. Some people say it was way overdue. I tend to agree but powerful people do not like to leave office, ever! However, Tony Blair can only blame himself for his downfall. In fact, politicians of any strip are responsible for their own downfalls. In the case of Prime Minister Blair it was his unconditional support for President Bush's war that got him. Unlike President Bush at the start of the invasion of Iraq, the vast majority of Britains did not support the invasion. In the US, the American people supported at first the invasion because the American people are notorious for accepting whatever garbage that comes out of the mouths of its leaders! Some say, well the American people were still shell-shocked from the attacks of 9/11. Yes they were, and like any victim the American people wanted someone tangible to take out their vengence. Since President Bush and Company could not find Bin Laden they went after the dictator of Iraq. The Administration started to shape intelligence to fit their plans and Mr. Blair was an accomplice. And just like in Great Britain as in the United States other areas of government responsibility went neglected. For the US it was Hurricane Katrina and it destruction that brought to light the decaying of America. Since the US and Great Britain began to finance the war effort with debt, things like levies, health care, and education went without necessary investment. And just like in the US, Britain began to see government incompetence when dealing with these obligations. This is when, in the US, public opinion began to turn from support for the President and His war, to end it now and bring the troops home! The American people are overwhelmingly for the end of this NOW! The Democrats were elected to stop this war, and they better! So Mr. Blair good luck to you but you also have unnecessary blood on your hands!

Welcome
Good Morning on this beautiful day here in Chicago. This is my first post and I am looking forward to sharing with everyone out there in Webland! Most of my posts will involve politics, baseball and sexual politics as well however, not necessarily in that order. I will look forward to hearing from you and your opinions. In order to get started, I woke up this morning with the news that 11 more of our troops have been killed in Iraq. This is just becoming so disheartening, and outrageous! President Bush and the liars throughout his Administration and those former must be held accountable for this travesty! It is time for this country to force him to bring the troops home and it seems he doesn't listen to the will of Congress or the American people therefore, I believe only the threat of impeachment will encourage President Bush and his crooks to listen. It is time for this nation to turn a new page, and stop using violence to solve its problems!
